Amy Bennett joined the CHARGER BAND staff in 2016. She oversees the Junior High Program.

     Prior to her appointment at Leaman Junior High, Ms. Bennett served as the assistant band director at Antoinette Reading Junior High School (Lamar CISD).
      During her time there, her bands received multiple consecutive "Superior" ratings and Sweepstakes Awards at UIL Concert & Sightreading Contest and the Reading JH Honors Band was invited to play at the 2014 Midwest Clinic: An International Band & Orchestra Conference in Chicago, Illinois.
     Ms. Bennett completed her Bachelor of Music degree at Stephen F. Austin State University where she studied with Fred J. Allen, Dr. David W. Campo, and Dr. John Goodall. She served as principal oboist of the SFA Wind Ensemble and performed with the Orchestra of the Pines and the SFA A Capella Choir. She was awarded the highest Young Artist Scholarship and received the Dean’s Circle Award, an award given jointly by the community and university leadership. In 2010, she was named the Outstanding Instrumental Recitalist of the Year, the Outstanding Music Graduate, and the SFASU Bandswoman of the Year.
     Ms. Bennett’s marching experience began through Drum Corps International in 2006 playing baritone for the Revolution Drum & Bugle Corps of San Antonio, Texas. In 2008, aging out in 2009, she also marched for the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps of Canton, Ohio. In addition to her drum corps experience, she played sousaphone for three years in the Lumberjack Marching Band were she eventually served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant.
     Since 2007, Ms. Bennett has traveled internationally to China and throughout Europe as a musician and educator most notably with the Houston Symphonic Band and the Star of Texas, both under the direction of Robert McElroy.
     In addition to teaching band, Ms. Bennett continues to perform professionally and serve as an oboe Instructor with Bocal Majority and Stephen F. Austin State University Band Camps. She is a member of the Texas Music Adjudicators Association, serving as an adjudicator in region UIL Concert & Sightreading Evaluations.
     In 2014, she completed her Master of Education degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston-Victoria. ​She was born and raised in nearby Alief, Texas where she graduated from Hastings High School. 



Ronnie Pruitt joined the CHARGER BAND staff in 2018.
     Mr. Pruitt received degrees from Southwest Texas State University and Stephen F. Austin State University, studying with Stephen Hager, John Stansberry, Tom Waggoner, Fred J. Allen, and Dr. Tim King.
     Mr. Pruitt has been involved with music education for over 25 years. During that time he has taught all levels of music including middle school, high school and collegiate courses. He has been part of winning multiple state marching titles in the state of Texas. He is in constant demand as a designer, clinician and adjudicator.
     Mr. Pruitt has served on staff with the World Champion Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps of Rockford, Illinois, serving as the Assistant Brass Caption Head.  Prior to this appointment, Mr. Pruitt fulfilled the same role for the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps of Denver, Colorado from 2012-2017. 

David Reynolds joined the CHARGER BAND staff in 2017. He oversees the percussion program. 

     Prior to joining the staff, Mr. Reynolds was the Associate Director of Bands at Seven Lakes High School having opened that school in 2005.  While at Seven Lakes he conducted the Symphonic Band, assisted with the marching band, coordinated all aspects of the high school percussion program and taught beginner classes at Beckendorff Junior High School and Seven Lakes Junior High School.  His ensembles have consistently earned superior ratings at both the region level and state level University Interscholastic League events.
     Mr. Reynolds earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where he was a student of Alan Shinn, Gregg Koyle, Lisa Rogers,  James Sudduth and Keith Bearden.   He has also done graduate work at East Texas State University (now Texas A&M – Commerce). 
     Prior to his tenure at Seven Lakes High School, Mr. Reynolds taught at James E. Taylor High School (Katy ISD) from 1997-2005 and Texas City High School from 1992- 1997.  He is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association and the Percussive Arts Society.  He is also a frequent freelance performer in the West Houston/Katy area.  He has been married to his wife Laura, for 24 years and shares the house with their dogs Ellie and Tori.

Aaron Sanderson joined the CHARGER BAND staff in 2018.
     Aaron Sanderson is a graduate of WE Boswell High School in Ft. Worth where he was a Texas All-State musician and a two-year drum major. Aaron is a graduate of The University of North Texas where he majored in Music Education. He studied saxophone with Dr. Eric Nestler.
     Mr. Sanderson was a member of UNT’s nationally recognized Green Brigade Marching Band, under the direction of Dr. Nicholas Williams. As a freshman, he served as a New Member Representative for the band and served the two following years as Drum Major. Mr. Sanderson has been an active marching technician in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and also taught a saxophone studio in Fort Worth. His students have consistently been recognized at district, region, and state competitions.
     Mr. Sanderson was previously a Drum Major for the Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps of San Antonio, Texas and then became a member of the brass staff for the following two seasons. He was also on the brass staff with the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps of Dubuque, Iowa.
     Mr. Sanderson is currently Brass Co-Caption Head for Genesis Drum & Bugle Corps of Austin, Texas and was most recently Director of Bands at Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD. While at PBTISD the Pecos Eagle Band won area for the first time in its history and also advanced to the state marching contest while also receiving multiple Superior Ratings and Sweepstakes Awards. The band was also named Class 1A Champion at a Bands of America Regional.
     Mr. Sanderson also taught the nationally recognized Pecos Indoor Winds which has been a WGI Winds finalist for 3 years in a row. PBTISD was also named a Best Community for Music Education by the NAMM foundation while under Mr. Sanderson’s direction. Before coming to PBTISD, Mr. Sanderson was the Associate Director of Bands at Travis High School in Fort Bend ISD. While at Travis, Mr. Sanderson was recognized as the Rookie Teacher of the Year in FBISD. He has studied conducting under Nipatdh Kanchanahuta, Dennis Fisher, and Eugene Migliaro Corporon. Mr. Sanderson is also an alumnus of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity. As a leader and teacher, Mr. Sanderson seeks to create an environment that enables and equips others to consistently improve and to achieve their goals.
Andrew Lee joined the CHARGER BAND staff in 2016. He oversees the High School Program.
     Before coming to Fulshear, Mr. Lee served three years as the Associate Director of Bands for Ridge Point High School  (Fort Bend ISD) where his responsibilities included the design and instruction of the marching band, jazz ensemble, concert band, winter drum line, and co-directing the symphonic band.  The Ridge Point marching band was a two-time Area Finalist and UIL State Marching Contest participant in 2013 and 2015 as well as a TMEA Class 5A Honor Band Finalist in 2015.  Before his placement there he served as Assistant Director of Bands at Katy High School (Katy ISD) where he also oversaw the marching band, concert band, winter drum line and jazz project. His final year at Katy, the Katy Jazz Band was selected as the 2013 TMEA Honor Jazz Band.
      Mr. Lee spent several years teaching in Drum Corps International as an Assistant Brass Caption Head at Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps of Toledo, Ohio as well as Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps of Atlanta, Georgia.  Mr. Lee also was a Brass Caption Head in DCI’s Open Class at Memphis Sound/Forte Drum & Bugle Corps.  He marched in 2005 for the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps of Canton, Ohio as a euphonium soloist.  Mr. Lee is a sought after marching designer/clinician having written drill for several bands in the state of Texas including two state marching contest participants.
     Mr. Lee graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2008 with a degree in Music Education.  He grew up in the Houston area, attending Cinco Ranch HS, and is also a very accomplished trombonist.  He is married to his best friend and partner Beth, who is also a band director; they have an adorable son named Archer, a beautiful girl named Harper, as well as two dogs named Phoebe and Rascal.
